Picking olives. | Living in Spain
Grape picking become dirty, almond harvest you get muscle pain but olive harvest you get lovely soft hands. A couple of years we have Pepito helped with the olive harvest. In November, the nets are spread among the trees and then harvesting can begin. We are nice and long, so we can reach almost all the olives in young trees without ladder. Pepito is in his seventies, but he climbs nimbly as a young guy in the older trees. With special comb the branches are combed and olives, green and black together, fall into the nets. But we do it for our own pleizer and to help their natural IS a lovely dagej linger in the olive grove. We usually do two or three days a year.
