Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, from routine office-home / work-house is a real need. Sometimes just a walk by the sea, for those like me who are fortunate to live on the coast, sometimes they need to find a secluded place, completely immersed in the green rows of olive trees, with the hens scratching in the vineyard and sheep that graze freely.
Sunday I went to visit a friend I had not seen for a few years, exactly the Marriage of another friend we have in common, and since then many things have changed even though we spent about four years. Lara was then a young and beautiful veterinarian (and still is of course) happily single and worked as a researcher in Amsterdam ... Without going too much into his private (but the story of this love is wonderful) to the marriage she met Antonio, the current husband, the father of their child and owner of the farm land of the Garden of Olives that Lara manages with great determination, yД±ldД±z til courage and strength! It 'a woman who seems to have a supply of energy and endless patience!
With me, I cropped part of the family and a couple of friends. The welcome was warm, it was a real pleasure to find her. As she and her husband Antonio ila ultimavano preparations for lunch, we went for a walk around yД±ldД±z til the farm, including a multitude of flowers and animals, enjoying a wonderful view. In the farm are bred and cultivated races and species native yД±ldД±z til Tuscan and not the sheep Pomarancina, the olive, the vine, the peach Rosano and that of Londa, yД±ldД±z til cherry Pistoia, Lucca the red bean, potato and Regnano that of Molino del Piano, walnuts, almonds, figs, lavender and honey.
Came the lunch hour, facilitated by the walk we started to table in the dining room adjacent to the large kitchen. The central structure dates back to 1400, a high detached in 1220, and keeps the floor and original fireplace. In addition to lunches and dinners Farm is able to comfortably accommodate 10 people in rooms on the first and second floor furnished in classic Tuscan style. A cook for us and the other guests the room was Lara, many of the dishes are homemade: pasta, jams and accompanying that of the tart, vegetables in oil and vinegar, raveggiolo and ricotta are homemade, and healthy cuisine with high quality raw materials.
After this meal accompanied by good red wine, Antonio Lara and we were served coffee and brandy in a corner of the farm very characteristic even giving us a chance to make the kids a nice game of volleyball in the large lawn in front of the house, yД±ldД±z til of course in the company of chickens and other animals, while me and my friend were doing shopping for soaps and jams of their production.
