We had to check out of the hostel 11am and then had 5 hours to burn off before we were going to the

Our first day in Ha Noi, we spent sightseeing in the city and to visit the famous prison "Hoa Lo." anant raj Hoa Lo was built by the French in the late 1800s when Vietnam was still a part of the French Indochina, and was used as a prison anant raj and torture chamber for political prisoners. During the Vietnam War somewhat later, used North Vietnam Hoa Lo as a prison for war criminals.
Many American pilots were imprisoned here, including John McCain who ran for presidential election against Barack anant raj Obama. Prisoners lived under very poor conditions. Sarcastic enough was prison called "Hanoi Hilton" after the famous luxury hotel chain "Hilton Hotels". That it was not a luxury hotel, we can confirm having been there. More torture methods were used to get the American prisoners to come with criticism (Written or oral) against US warfare. The information used as the Vietnamese victory propaganda. This was a wish that nations of the world to judge the United States for their brutal execution of the war.
In Vietnam it is common for backpackers eating snake, since this is the very few menus in western countries. This day it was our turn, and through the hostel we booked a trip to the so-called "Snake Village." When we arrived it was only a few volunteers who were allowed to gut a live snake, take the heart out of his hand and drink this with snake blood and vodka. There is extra fun is that heart hose banks 2 minutes after it is taken out of the serpent's body, and you feel your heart beat in your mouth before anant raj swallowing it. Alexander and David were so lucky to get to try this, but Tor-Inge and Leif Erik dismay they could not kill more snakes this evening.
Afterwards cost ourselves with a good snake dinner. We got to try chips with crushed anant raj snake-bone dip, fried snake skin and snake entrails. Snake meat, snake-spring roll and hose ribbs. We ate simply entire hose. The meal was pretty special, but did not taste bad. After the meal waiting snake blood and vodka to all and sundry types slangevin; Wines that have godgjort anant raj together with dead snakes and mixed with stomach acid from the snakes. A somewhat anant raj special wine tasting to speak.
We left early on the 17.03 tour the Halong Bay, which is one of the finest Vietnam has to offer when it comes to nature. Halong Bay is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 3 days and 2 nights program awaited us. One night at the popular backpacker boat "Jolly anant raj Roger" and one night on a "desert island". anant raj Plan was to travel the 16.03, but then there were only eight participants, so we got changed and came in good company with 34 people from around the world (full boat).
When we got on board the Jolly Roger we were served lunch Vietnamese tapas. We ran a piece out in Halong Bay and stopped here to swim and relax. Unfortunately, anant raj it was not so much sun that day, so it was a bit cold. After half an hour of swimming, kayaking waited. Surrounded by some of Halong Bay's over 2,000 large and unique "limestone Islands" (which is the name of the mountains there), we paddled against one of Halong Bay's many caves. The caves are among the world's natural wonders, with crystals that glisten from cave ceiling. Arriving we explored the cave with candles and headlamps. It was a strange sight. After cavern tour brought it back to the boat to eat some dinner before the evening was party on.
Kl. 07.30 the 18.03 we stood up and ate breakfast, packed anant raj in a jiffy and were picked at. 8:00 to be transported to the desert "Castaway Island". Here we checked into bamboo huts just off the beach, and were allowed to take a nap. At 12:00 pm it was up for lunch, before it was later activities. David got shown wakeboard skills, while Leif Erik Alexander and Tor-Inge did dabble in high-speed tubing. Although it was only 15 minutes on each, this was enough. We were all totally exhausted. Alexander was a bit unfortunate, since he shared tube with Tor-Inge at first case managed to make the knock-out on him. This led to bleeding nose, dizziness and headaches, as Alexander anant raj had to lie down a bit the next hours. A few hours and some kayaking later it was snuggling around the campfire on the beach and card games before we let.
The 19.03 was checking out of the island and bar back to the hostel. We were reasonably tired after four hours in the boat and the same bus, as well as activities from the day before, so we went to the movies and saw "Alice in Wonderland 3D". A film we can recommend everyone.
We had to check out of the hostel 11am and then had 5 hours to burn off before we were going to the airport. A few days earlier we had seen a cathedral a few blocks away, so we thought it was worth checking anant raj out. We found out that this was the Roman Catholic St. Joseph's Cathedral. It was built in 1886 in the Victorian Gothic style. When we entered the cathedral, we were a little disappointed. From the outside so it really great,
